We are excited to have Chance Baker as the new principal of Boise City High School! Mr. Baker brings a wealth of experience and passion for education to our school community. Here's a message from Mr. Baker:
"I wanted to reach out to all of you to say hello and introduce myself as the new principal of Boise City High School. I am very excited about being here along with getting to work with all of you and together we will be able to accomplish great things.
A little about me, I have been in education for 10 years, starting out as a teacher and coach. I coached football and baseball before beginning my journey as an administrator. Before my career education I worked as a manager for a clothing store for 17 years.
I am a graduate with a Bachelors from Southeastern Oklahoma State University and I obtained my masters through Southern Nazarene University. My wife's name is Lacy and we have 4 children Ryan (24), Rusty (17), Addy (13), and Brooklynn (3), along with Aaliyah, our 3-year-old granddaughter.
Thank you for the welcome I have already received and I look forward to meeting everyone next week. I will be in my office all week so feel free to drop by and visit if you want to.
I hope everyone has had a great summer break and is ready for school to start."
Let's give a warm welcome to Mr. Baker and his family! We are excited about the great things he will achieve with Boise City High School. Go Wildcats! 🐾🎉

We are thrilled to announce Cory Smith as the new Superintendent of Boise City Public School District! Mr. Smith brings extensive experience and a deep commitment to education. Here's a brief introduction:
"My name is Cory Smith, and I am thrilled to introduce myself as the new Superintendent of Boise City Public Schools. It is an honor to join the staff and I am excited to work alongside you to achieve our collective goals.
I have 16 years of experience in education, first serving as a teacher/coach, before transitioning to administration as a dean of students, high school principal/Athletic Director and now a district Superintendent.
I’m a US Navy veteran and also an experienced first responder both as an EMT/firefighter and CLEET certified law enforcement officer. Most recently I was the Superintendent of Hugo Public Schools. I also served on the Hugo Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Boys and Girls Club Board of Directors and was a Member of the Choctaw County Emergency Management Committee.
I am a graduate of Waynoka High School and Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva, so I am familiar with Northwest Oklahoma! My wife's name is Whitney and our children are Tinzlee (1), Grayson (3), Natalee (4), Kinzlee (6), Paislee (7), Seth (12), Allison (13), Gunner (15), Kaylee (18), Amanda (19), and Taylor (26).
In the coming days and weeks, I am eager to meet each of you, understand your roles and perspectives, and learn how I can best support you. I believe that open communication and collaboration are essential to our success, and I encourage you to reach out to me at any time with questions, ideas, or simply to introduce yourself. My door is always open.
Thank you for the warm welcome we have already received from those who we have met! I am thrilled to get back to my small-town roots! One more Uhaul trip and we will be all moved in.
I am confident that together, we can achieve remarkable things and drive Boise City to be better tomorrow than it is today.
Best regards and see you all soon! Go Wildcats oh and Boomer Sooner."
Join us in welcoming Mr. Smith and his family! We are excited to see the positive impact he will have on our district.

📢 Important Update for Parents! 📢
Boise City Public School District has updated its policy on electronic communications with students, effective July 22, 2024, to ensure a safe and professional digital environment.
Key Points of the New Policy:
Staff must maintain proper decorum online.
No improper fraternization with students via digital communication.
No listing of current students as "friends" on networking sites (with family exceptions).
All e-contacts with students should be through school-approved platforms like Remind, Google Education Suite, school e-mail, and other approved LMS.
Communication Protocol:
Teachers should use school-approved platforms for communication with students.
Parents or guardians should be included in direct communications with students unless it’s on a school-approved platform and related to academics.
In emergencies, teachers can communicate directly with students but must notify parents or guardians afterward.
The district will periodically search for inappropriate online content by staff. Any discovered misconduct will be addressed promptly, and employees may face penalties, including termination.
Why These Changes?
This new policy, in line with Oklahoma HB3958, provides better oversight and accountability, protecting both teachers and students. Remind, Google Education Suite, and other approved platforms ensure secure and reliable communication channels.
What Do Parents Need to Do?
Download Remind: Available on the App Store or Google Play (optional). Remind messages can also come via text or email. To unblock Remind, text any school or class code to 81010. Our school codes are:
High School: @boisecityh
Elementary: @boisecitye
Thank you for helping us maintain a safe and effective learning environment! Stay informed and connected! 📲✨

It's that time of the year again!
Boise City Cheer will be putting on our annual Little Cats Cheer Camp Aug. 16th-17th.
We are making big changes this year! Practices will be every 2nd Wednesday of the month every month leading up to Basketball Homecoming. These practices will be 1 hour right after school. At these practices participants will have more time to learn and solidify performance materials as well as learn cheers that we do on the sidelines!
Another change that is being made this year is participants that are in 3rd grade all the way up to 6th grade will get to cheer on the sideline for a full quarter during the Homecoming Football game with our BCHS and BCJH cheerleaders!
You can find sign up forms at both Elementary and High School offices as well as the County Assessor's Office with Coach Lucy!
